Les Lieux-dits

"The expression of our terroirs".

There are five of them. Almost like a Club... for five plots of land with five different terroirs. Vinified in concrete vats, then matured in ceramic eggs, these 100% Malbecs have only their origins as differences. And yet they have nothing in common when tasted. They are an invitation to discover and understand our richness: our terroirs!

Environment: Sustainable winegrowing.

Chemin du Rey: grapes coming from the place called "Les Plaines", made up of scree from the Causses. It is a mixture of fossils and clay with deep gravel. A dry and draining terroir, facing South-West.

Tasting :Very dark colour with purple tinges. Nose opening to aeration on black fruits. On the palate, this wine reveals its youthful fruit and mineral notes. A lively, fresh, firm vintage, a modern style that respects traditions.

Le Caillou Blanc: grapes from the "Caillou" area in Sérignac, on the Cadurcien limestone plateau. Its subsoil is full of fossils, white pebbles and clay.

Tasting :Dark crimson colour, still young. Shy nose, violet, lavender, red fruits, hay. On the palate one appreciates the lightness, the purity of the fragrances, the delicacy of the tannins. The terroir expresses itself in a natural setting, fresh and without artifice, it's beautiful.

Caillau Fauve: grapes from the locality known as "Caillau", with its soil mixed with gravel and limestone, facing south. In the evening, at sunset, the pebbles take on tawny reflections.

Tasting :Black colour with purple tinges. Discreet nose of black fruit, mineral dimension, liquorice, hints of violet. Concentrated, full-bodied, tense, more talkative, displaying a superb mineral quality. Great potential, one can expect it.

Chemin de Gaudou : Grapes from the "Gaudou" area. The vines are those closest to our cellars, bordered by olive trees. A mixture of gravel and clay, this plot is south-west facing.

Tasting : Beautiful impenetrable colour with purplish tints. Discreet nose, blueberry, blackberry, fine floral scents. Velvety attack, full-bodied mouth, heady, dense, sensation of opulence. Not much more talkative than the nose but nice grainy tannins. Very promising.

Chemin d'Orgueil: grapes from the plot located along the "Chemin d'Orgueil". Made up of old gravel, this plot is exposed to the four winds. From the top of its half-century of history, this vine is exposed South-East, South-West, taking advantage of the oceanic climate.

Tasting : Beautiful deep purple colour with purple tints. Racy nose, red fruits, chalky note, floral background. Lively on the palate, full-bodied, well-structured, not very full-bodied as it is, but the quality of its components can be appreciated. The terroir speaks for itself, a beautiful Cahors for laying down.
